(Methodist/United ReformThe main church is a modern brick built design and is to be found on Gorsty Hill Road, Tean, Stoke-on-Trent.  The Church was originally built in 1843 and rebuilt in 1990.  joining building, built in 1894, has been completely refurbished.  This is used for Sunday school and other activities.  Across the forecourt is 'Church House', with a number of small rooms used for the luncheon club, church and community meetings. 

The large Sunday school room and smaller meeting rooms are available for hire. Tean is a rural village community.  The church serves an area including Upper Tean, Lower Tean and Checkley.

The morning services are a mixture of both modern and traditional, with the monthly evening service following a more traditional pattern of worship.  Some services are joint lead by the Church of England Church. There is a Sunday school and also creche facilities if required.

Activities:

Tean Luncheon club meets each Tuesday at the Church.  The group is part of Cheadle & District Homelink for the socialisation of the elderly and housebound. 

The Rainbows which is part of Girlguiding UK meet every Thursday from 3.30-5pm.  The group is for girls aged 5-7yrs.  The Rainbows are given the opportunity to grow as individuals and to develop at their own pace, following Girlguiding UK's educational framework.  Activities are based on the Rainbow Jigsaw - 'Look, learn, laugh and love', and include games, craftwork, music, stories and cookery.

The Kids Club meets each Wednesday from 3.30-5pm.  The venue is Christchurch Hall Vicarage, Tean.   A joint activity with Christ Church.  It is open to children from 5-11years.  The group aims to present the gospel in a fun and active way to children who may not attend Sunday school.  Activities include: cookery, stories, videos, prayer, songs, games, teaching & themes, arts & crafts.

Prayer meetings are held on Wednesdays at 8pm.  The aim of this house group is to meet together for a short teaching and prayer session.  This group is open to all adults.

On Thursdays from 2-3pm the Church holds a Coffee and Bible Study group.  The group, open to all adults meets to study the bible and its relevance to everyday life.  Refreshments are provided.

On Friday evenings from 6-7pm the Youth Choir meet at the church.  The aim is for the young people to meet together, learn songs and play an active role is the church worship.  The choir learn new songs, take part in the services occasionally organising and leading special services.  The group currently hold a sponsored sing in aid of church funds.

 

Alpha and Emmaus courses are held at the Church.
