Boundary Methodist

Church:

Boundary Methodist Church is to be found at Commonside, Boundary.  The small chapel was built in 1827.    It is a small brick built building with one main room used for worship.    A kitchen  and toilet have been added on the side with one entrance (through the front porch) to all three rooms.

Boundary is a small hamlet consisting of around 60 houses and a few smallholdings on four sides of the crossroads.   It is quite rural although the main Cheadle-Blythe Bridge roads run through the hamlet.

Because of the geographical location of the village the houses are divided between four different parishes; Cheadle, Draycott, Forsbrook and Dilhorne.   The services are a mixture of traditional Methodist worship and modern worship music for this interactive congregation.

A Prayer fellowship meets each Tuesday evening at 7.30pm at Dilhorne Parish Church.    The aim of this group is to help local Christians to grow in the Christian faith and pray for needs within the community.    This group is open to anyone from the Parish Church, Boundary Chapel, Blakely Lane and Dilhorne Methodist Churches.

The group enjoy reading and discussing the Bible together.     Praying for each others needs and the needs of the community.    It is also a time of worship together.

................

The Staffordshire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers use the Chapel on the 3rd Friday of each month at 7.30pm onwards.    The aim of the group is to teach and encourage rural crafts.     Activities include: spinning, weaving, felt making and also occasional exhibitions.
